Kay Maxwell, CFP®, CAP®
President and CEO
Kay Maxwell has been a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional since 1982 and President of Maxwell Financial Services, Inc., since 1991. She received the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® designation in 2014. Kay lives in Dallas Texas.
During her career, Kay successfully completed the Series 7, 24, 63 and 65 securities industry examinations. She also holds an insurance license in Texas. She earned a BA in Spanish and a BS in education from the University of Kansas, and a MA in Guidance and Counseling at Texas A and I University, now a part of the Texas A & M system.
Her professional and community affiliations include memberships in the Dallas Estate Planning Council, the Financial Planning Association, National Association of Charitable Gift Planner and Advisors in Philanthropy. She is a member of the Leadership Texas, Class of 1997. Kay is a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts and has served the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas as a board member and in other capacities.
Her leisure activities include traveling, reading, hiking, cooking Mexican food and volunteering in the community and at her church. Currently, Kay volunteers at the North Texas Food Bank once a month, and it is one of her favorite volunteer activities.
Kay’s adult children live in Colorado and California.
